The Arts Award at The Radcliffe School is a national scheme encouraging students to be inspired and enjoy the Arts (such as photography, dance, creative writing, drama, music, fashion, film, sculpture, drawing and painting), giving them a framework to learn new skills and share them with others. The Award gives students the opportunity to develop creativity and leadership skills as well as a greater understanding of creative arts professionals. It starts with the Discover and Explore award and ends with a Gold award, which is worth 30 UCAS points.

Students are encouraged to take up the Arts Award as part of The Radcliffe School Get Involved programme activity with the help of an assigned staff adviser, with projects able to be based around any arts or media activity. Creativity, initiative and independent learning are important skills acquired whilst taking part in the award.

Current projects include Radcliffe School students working alongside Made in Stony, which is a community organisation that represents local original artists, designers, food producers and crafters, selling high-quality and original handmade goods.
