EXAM INVIGILATORS
£7.83 per hour

We are looking to appoint Examination Invigilators to join our team to help with the examination periods during the year. The main task will be quietly supervising examinations and making sure that they are carried out correctly. Hours of work are variable, depending on examination requirements. Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. We can offer hours starting in November 2018.

Learning Supervisor
£16,566.50 – £19,688.79 per annum

(Based on working 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced individual to join our school as a Learning Supervisor and to facilitate the highest possible standards of learning and achievement for our students.

Our Learning Supervisors are expected to deliver pre-prepared work to classes of students in the absence of the class teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the learning and behaviour of the students in their care. The Learning Supervisor will also be required to provide other supervisory and administrative duties, including providing in-class support as a Teaching Assistant.

The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly around the school and will enjoy working with young people and be adaptable and calm in their manner. An excellent sense of humour is essential along with effective organisation, communication and management skills.

The successful candidate will:
• be passionate and enthusiastic about young people's education
• have a very good level of literacy and numeracy
• have experience of working with and motivating young people
• be driven to learn and develop their own skills
• be very well organised and efficient
• have high expectations of student’s behaviour and attainment
• be flexible and willing to teach in KS3 and KS4
• be open to advice, feedback and guidance from colleagues

This is a unique opportunity to take on an important role in a forward thinking school and to work with committed and collaborative staff. There may be an opportunity for us to support and train outstanding appointments, who have a 2:2 degree or better, to become good teachers.

TEACHING ASSISTANT (LEVEL 3) IN SCIENCE
£16,566.50 per annum (37 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum)

We require a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Science Department. Responsibilities will include implementing agreed work programmes with individuals and small groups of students, in or out of the classroom, as well as assisting staff in the management and preparation of resources.  It is essential that the successful candidates will already have at least two years’ experience of working with young people.  An interest in Science is desirable.

TEACHING ASSISTANTS (LEVEL 1)
£11,959.27 per annum (31 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum)

We require Level 1 Teaching Assistants to work within the school’s Additionally Resourced Provision.  The ARP is an environment designed to support the learning of young people with a range of social and communication needs. Previous classroom experience would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.

PARENT AMBASSADOR
£10,113.48 per annum
(20 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8am to midday, 39 weeks per annum)

Fixed term for two years

We are seeking to employ a Parent Ambassador in this new and special role, working across the whole school community. This post is being funded through the Creating Cohesive Secondary School Communities programme and is fixed for two years.

We are looking for someone to support parents in valuing and engaging with learning opportunities, alongside promoting and enhancing community cohesion, social and learning relationships. Our Parent Ambassador will work to ensure the inclusion, well-being and educational outcomes for students are improved and vulnerable communities are helped to integrate in both school and the local community.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently, under the guidance of a mentor, and will have excellent communication and inter-personal skills. A passion to work with groups of parents and students, and to support our school community is essential.
