Science Curriculum Team Leader
(TLR negotiable including a £2,000 bonus for the successful applicant who applies directly to the school)

We are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner to lead our Science Department from September 2018. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and learning in Science and will have the ability to motivate students and develop staff to share that enthusiasm.

As Curriculum Team Leader, you will be able to inspire effective teaching and learning within the department and foster a climate of collective responsibility for students’ success.  You will understand the importance of data as a tool to track student progress and will identify a wide range of evaluation strategies to lead the development in all aspects its success.

TEACHER OF PE and SCIENCE

Teacher of Humanities

SCIENCE TECHNICIAN

£15,640.88 per annum
(Based on 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per annum)

We are looking for a Science Technician to join our school.  The ideal candidate will be organised, practical and flexible.  Experience of working within a laboratory and/or a relevant qualification is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.  Main duties will include preparing and delivering resources and equipment to classrooms, collecting, checking and cleaning equipment, participating in classroom demonstrations and working closely with science staff.

Learning Hub Manager/ Librarian
£19,083.93 - £23,306.91 per annum
(Based on working 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to be responsible for the management, development and promotion of the school’s Learning Hub.  Working with teachers and support staff, you will continue to develop the library as an effective information and learning centre, which supports learning and teaching across the curriculum. 

We are looking for someone who: 

•    has a passion for reading and literacy that they want to share with young people. 
•    is methodical and well organised.  
•    is an excellent role-model for young people.  
•    is able to work effectively within a team and independently. 
•    has an interest in or experience of working with children within a secondary school environment.

Cover Supervisor
Thinking about teaching?

£16,626 - £26,295 per annum
(Based on working 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for qualified, dedicated and experienced individuals to join our school as Cover Supervisors and to facilitate the highest possible standards of learning and achievement for our students from September 2018.  

Our Cover Supervisors will be expected to deliver pre-prepared work to classes of students in the absence of the class teacher. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the learning and behaviour of the students in their care. The Cover Supervisors will also be required to provide other supervisory and administrative duties, including providing in-class support as Teaching Assistants.  

The successful candidates will be expected to work flexibly around the school.  Suitable candidates will enjoy working with young people and be adaptable and calm in their manner.  An excellent sense of humour is essential along with effective organisation, communication and management skills. 

The successful candidates will:

•    be passionate and enthusiastic about young people's education
•    have a very good level of literacy and numeracy
•    have experience of working with and motivating young people
•    be driven to learn and develop their own skills
•    be very well organised and efficient
•    have high expectations of student’s behaviour and attainment
•    be flexible and willing to teach in KS3 and KS4
•    be open to advice, feedback and guidance from colleagues

This is a unique opportunity to take on an important role in a forward thinking school and to work with committed and collaborative staff. There may be an opportunity for us to support and train outstanding appointments, who have a 2:2 degree or better, to become good teachers.

Assistant Head of Sixth Form

We are looking for an Assistant Head of Sixth Form to join our school to provide support to our Head of Sixth Form.   The successful candidate will support the Head of Sixth Form in all aspects of student achievement, both organisational and administrative.  They will be required to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and external agencies, ensuring that school policies and procedures are adhered to. Experience of working successfully with young people is essential, along with the ability to work both alone and as part of a team.
